Selphyl

Selphyl Platlet Rich Plasma

What is Selphyl?

The Selphyl system is an effective treatment that uses your own biology to reverse the aging process. A small amount of your own blood is collected to isolate natural Platelet –rich Fibrin Matrix. This material is processed in an onsite laboratory and then injected into specific areas in the skin. The platelets stimulate the bodies’ process of tissue regeneration and collagen production, restoring volume to those area affected by the aging process.

When is Selphyl used?

Selphyl is able to significantly stimulate tissue regeneration. Individuals who have lost volume through the temples, cheeks and under eyes can benefit from the Selphyl treatment.

What should I expect during a Selphyl treatment?

A needle will collect a small amount of blood from the arm, similar to undergoing a blood test at any laboratory. This blood sample is then placed in a centrifuge to separate the blood platelets. The platelets are then combined with the Selphyl solution to be injected into the particular areas of concern.
Although very tolerable, patients are often pre-treated with a topical numbing cream on the face or site to be treated for approximately 45 minutes prior to therapy. Patients will often require anywhere from 1–3 treatments depending on the amount of correction required. This treatment often lasts anywhere from 12 to 18 months.
