Hyaluronic Acids

Hyaluronic Acids

Hyaluronic acids work by filling in areas in the skin, like lines and wrinkles. As it starts to breakdown it will attract water molecules that help it keep its shape and allow the area to look good for up to 6 months or more.
These fillers are the safest and most commonly used by doctors. Their results are more effective and can last much longer then collagen. Hyaluronic acids are most commonly used for augmenting the lips, correcting wrinkles, fine lines and for plumping up the nasal labial folds, or marionette lines

Now facial recontouring can be done with the use of Hyaluronic acids. Instead of getting cheek or chin implants why not try it with a 20 minute office visit. This works great for those who one desire subtle changes to restore lost volume or sagging of the skin, or those with good skin tone but always wanting larger or more prominent cheeks. It can easily be injected into those areas.

Hyaluronic acids come in different strengths. It is can be used in very fine lines, like those on the upper lip in its smallest particle size. If lip augmentation is desired, or wrinkles on the face like smile lines around the mouth, or marionette lines, are to be injected a medium strength product is commonly used. Deeper areas or those who would like facial contouring done, like cheek or chin injections, then a thicker Hyaluronic acids is usually chosen.

No skin testing is required for Hyaluronic acid injections since it contains no animal by-products; and results are immediate. It does a great job in lip augmentation and correction of fine lines and wrinkles caused by aging.
Procedures take 10-15 minutes to perform and results last on average up to 6 months or longer. With repeat treatments some areas can last almost 1 year.

Lip Augmentation

If one desires lip enhancement then there are many injectable products, especially hyaluronic acid fillers, that can be used. These allow the lips to be augmented in a natural way. One can alter the injections so as to enhance only the areas that need it. If one desires then the entire upper and lower lip can be augmented. Others have vertical lines around the mouth and thinner injectables can be used to diminish these lines without affecting the lip size.
